Chelsea want to sign Moises Caicedo to a new contract, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The famous and respected Italian journalist reported that Chelsea, who won the Conference League last season and the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the summer of 2025, are very impressed with Caicedo and want to reward him with a new contract.
“Moises Caicedo is fully focused on Chelsea,” Romano said on his YouTube channel.
“I stand by what I said in the summer: Chelsea want to discuss a new contract with him.
“Although he is already highly paid, his face is still an important part of the project.
“So I think Chelsea continue to have these conversations with Moises and his new representatives, but the focus is definitely on a new contract with Chelsea.”
Caicedo joined Chelsea from Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer of 2023 for £115m. The 23-year-old midfielder’s contract with the London club runs until the summer of 2031, with Chelsea having the option to extend his contract by a further year.
