The Boston Celtics fall to 0-3 after their most recent loss to the Detroit Pistons.
The Boston Celtics are 0-3 to start the season for the first time since the 2013-14 season.
This recent rough start includes losses to the Philadelphia 76ers, New York Knicks and Detroit Pistons.
It could be a tough season for the Celtics as Jayson Tatum continues to recover from a torn Achilles tendon.
In the Celtics’ loss to the Pistons, Derrick White scored 15 points on 6-of-18 shooting from the field.
During the game, White received the first technical foul of his career, which Tatum could be seen celebrating.
This all stems from what Tatum said in April. He said he would like to see White take a technical foul to improve his street reputation.
“I told D-White, you have to be like a technician and develop your street cred.”
Jaylen Brown had a big performance with 41 points, but it wasn’t enough to defeat the Pistons, who remain winless this season.
Brown didn’t get enough help from the supporting cast. White struggled from the field and Peyton Pritchard was the only player to step up with 21 points.
However, the Celtics’ frontcourt remains a big problem for them. Neemias Queta only scored four points, and Hugo Gonzalez, making his first career start, played 18 minutes without scoring.
This year is shaping up to be a down year for the Celtics, as they may already be looking ahead to next season.
