Giannis Antetokounmpo has given his all for the Milwaukee Bucks.
Giannis Antetokounmpo had an amazing performance against the Cleveland Cavaliers with 40 points, 14 rebounds, and 9 assists.
But it wasn’t enough, as the Milwaukee Bucks lost their first game of the season to Cleveland, 118-113.
Giannis is off to a historic start. He is the first player in NBA history to open a season with over 100 points, over 40 rebounds and over 15 assists in the first three games.
Antetokounmpo is also the first player in NBA history to start a season with three consecutive games of 60 percent shooting, at least 30 points, at least 10 rebounds, and at least five assists.
Antetokounmpo is playing at an incredibly high pace right now and is already in the MVP conversation.
However, after recent performances, Zach Lowe revealed that Cavaliers insiders are wondering if Giannis can maintain this style without getting injured.
“I’m concerned that he has a lot of work to do. I also know that some people inside the Cavs were asking this internally after last night’s game.
“Will he be able to keep up?
“His defense is really good, very engaged, very active, and the rebounding that I mentioned is also good. Forget about 82, 65, 70, can he actually do this?”
“Or will it be fatigue or injury or something? Because he’s giving his all for the team.”
For Antetokounmpo and the Bucks to be successful this season, the supporting cast will have to do their job.
Such was the case in the Bucks’ win over the Toronto Raptors on Friday night. Antetokounmpo had 31 points, 20 rebounds and seven assists, but Cole Anthony stepped up in a big way off the bench.
Anthony had 23 points and seven assists in 27 minutes, which made the difference in the victory.
Even if Giannis continues to put up these numbers, if other players live up to his demands, the Bucks will be very dangerous this season.
