Endrick wants more playing timeManchester United are looking for a short-term solution

Manchester United and Aston Villa are set to go head-to-head to sign Real Madrid’s young Brazilian striker Endrik, according to the Daily Star.

The 19-year-old has struggled to cement a place in the Spanish champions’ starting XI under manager Xabi Alonso, leading to speculation that he could seek a move away from the Santiago Bernabéu when the January transfer window opens.

Widely regarded as one of Brazil’s brightest attacking talents, Endrik joined Real Madrid in a much-anticipated deal worth up to £63 million after a brilliant spell with Brazilian Serie A side Palmeiras.

However, despite his potential, Alonso has had limited minutes this season, preferring to rely on experienced forwards such as Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo.

The teenager made his first appearance of the season as a late substitute in Madrid’s 4-0 win over Valencia, sparking fresh debate over his immediate future.

Ligue 1 side Lyon are currently leading the charge to sign Endrick, but both Man United and Aston Villa have also entered the race.

Endrik is open to a loan move if it guarantees consistent first-team football, which he believes is important for his development ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Endrik wants to play more regularly and prove himself in Europe. Real Madrid still believe in his potential but are open to loan offers to accelerate his development.

Ruben Amorim’s United are looking to strengthen their attacking depth in January and see Endrick as an ideal short-term option who can add pace and unpredictability up front.

Meanwhile, Unai Emery’s Aston Villa are monitoring the situation closely as they look to add more attacking power during the winter period. They have struggled to sign players like Jadon Sancho and Harvey Elliott and see Endrick as a player who can add a spark to their attack.

With interest from across Europe, including clubs in France, England and Italy, Endrick has an important decision to make about the next stage of his career.
