Real Madrid has not ruled out the possibility that Rodrigo will go this summer. The Brazilian attacker is also on Arsenal’s radar, with Mikel Arteta reportedly trying to bolster his offensive options ahead of the new season.
According to reports from Spain, including Cadena Cel’s Antonio Romero, Real Madrid will consider moving Rodrigo before the end of the summer transfer window if his form does not improve under new head coach Xabi Alonso.
Arsenal gave hope to sign Real Madrid’s Rodrigo
“It’s an open secret that if Rodrigo doesn’t wake up and offers come, he’s doing more.” Romero said.
“The solution lies in his quality, and it lies in his ability to turn the game around.
“No one will drive away Rodrigo like he appeared under Carlo Ancelotti a few seasons ago.
“With Rodrigo last season, he’s melancholic and has little luck in performances or in front of goals. If the offer comes, he’s gone.”
The 24-year-old is a regular figure for the Santiago Bernabeu, featured prominently under Carlo Ancelotti last season, contributing 14 goals and 10 assists in all competitions.
However, his contradictions at a critical moment attracted criticism from Spanish media and fan sections, raising questions about his ability to maintain high levels through demanding campaigns.
Mikel Arteta is a worshipper of Brazilian attackers
Despite his challenges, Rodrigo’s talent remains undeniable, and Arsenal sees him as an addition that could potentially add quality, creativity and versatility to the forefront.
Arteta will recruit a wide range of advances that can operate beyond the forefront, complimenting Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli, while alleviating the aggressive burden of current crops.
Gunners are also in the market for new strikers, but adding Rodrigo’s caliber players will greatly enhance their depth as they prepare for another season in the Premier League and Champions League.
Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham calls his teammate Rodrigo the most talented and talented player on the club’s team.
The Los Blancos reportedly will demand £77 million from Brazilian attackers this summer.
