Chelsea is trapped in the signature of talented young defender Jorell Hato, but it is not yet clear what his best position is.
The 19-year-old appears to be able to give the Bruce a good option in the centre defense and left-back, but his role appears to have already been mapped.
See below as journalist Ben Jacobs said he was considered Chelsea’s left back. His former coach Francesco Farioli quoted him as explaining why he worked hard on converting the Netherlands International to fullbacks rather than centre-backs…
The pigeon is said to be a player with “good technical skills” and is probably too short to have the best career as a central defender.

Fariori also said, “His future requires both offensive and defensive qualities as a left-back, and more as a position that suits his traits.”
Can Jorrel Hato start regularly for Chelsea?
It’s not clear whether the Dutch will get a lot of playing time at Stamford Bridge as the pigeon will compete with Mark Kuklera for Chelsea’s left-back spot.
Kukulera is not the best left-back in the world, so there may be a chance for the pigeon to overtake him as Enzo Maresca’s first choice.
Still, Spanish International has also improved significantly recently, so it’s possible that pigeons are gambling a bit with this move, unless they get a significant amount of play time at centre-back.
Jorrel Hato was able to bolster Chelsea’s CB option
The pigeons definitely look much better than Chelsea’s current central defensive option.
Still, the West London giant has largely ignored its position by not bringing in any new people as they need upgrades like Benoit Badiashile, Tosin Adarabioyo, and Trevoh Chalobah, but Wesley Fofana is too injured to rely on a regular basis.
