Arsenal and Liverpool reportedly were forced to change their transfer plans this summer due to Newcastle’s strong stance against Alexander Isaac.
Isaac clearly is unavailable. Newcastle is in a strong position as a star player as he is on a contract until 2028.
This appears to have led Newcastle to slap a £150 million price tag on Isaac’s head, forcing Arsenal to see more and more alternatives.
Gunner also reports that he is interested in another top Swedish forward, in the form of Sports Lisbon’s Victor Gyoker.
Meanwhile, Just Arsenal said there are also mentions of talks that could come soon between representatives of Arsenal and Gyoker.
The Alexander Isaac Transfer Dream appears to be in decline…
Isak is on fire at Newcastle this season and in many ways he appears to be the ideal striker to sign clubs like Arsenal and Liverpool.
The 25-year-old has come into something like his peak, already proving himself as a reliable and prolific scorer in the Premier League.
Tall, strong, fast, skillfully, Isaac is truly a complete advancement and has few weaknesses in his game.
But that inevitably means that the NUFC will do whatever it takes to keep him, and Isaac’s suitors seem to have learned it and decided to move on.
Gyoker could be a great Plan B for Arsenal, and the sports frontman has drawn ridiculous numbers in Portugal since joining last year.
At the same time, he may represent a bit more gambling, as he has never played in the Premier League.
We’ve seen players shine in a slightly less competitive league in the past, then we went to the English top flight and floped.
It will be interesting to see if Gyoker is an Arsenal priority or if others like Benjamin Sesko will return to the photos.
