Liverpool defender Ibrahima Conate has been linked to moves that have left the club for the past few weeks.
The player entered the final year of his contract this summer, and of course there was speculation surrounding his future. Clubs like PSG are linked to players.
However, the defender is confident he will be staying with the club, and his agent has recently been in discussion with Liverpool about a contract extension, according to Liverpool Echo’s Bloodred Podcast.
Liverpool must maintain Ibrahimaconate
It will be interesting to see if the parties can quickly establish the contract. The 26-year-old is a key player for Liverpool and cannot afford to lose him anytime soon. He is a top defender and an essential asset to the club.
Liverpool can’t afford to lose Trent Alexander Arnold on a free transfer this summer and fall into a similar situation as France International. They must do everything in their power to immediately agree to a new deal with the players.
Conate is not a vital player for Liverpool. He is also one of the leaders of the dressing room. Holding their best players is extremely important to the hope that Liverpool will regularly compete for major trophies.
Liverpool boost
The fact that players are reasonably confident in staying with the club is a big boost for Liverpool, and fans are pleased that players are open to continuing the Premier League champions.
Liverpool has won Premier League titles this season, and the 26-year-old has no reason to leave them. They have ambitious projects and top quality teams. They are expected to fight for major trophies in the future as well. Konate will feel he can fulfill his ambitions with Liverpool in the coming season.
