The Los Angeles Lakers front office is about to determine which two players they are trying to build around Luka Donsic.
The Los Angeles Lakers are already beginning to prepare for the next season. With their first full season led by Luka Donsic, expectations are high.
Luka Donsic’s recent appearance at Real Madrid matches has shown fans that he is at the best of his career.
So Lakers fans will hope that their team will take advantage of Luca’s improved conditioning with better teammates that could lead to victory.
With no draft picks this year and little cap flexibility, the Lakers will need to make some moves to improve their roster. But the big question the front office is asking is who we will trade?

A report by Anthony Irwin at Clutch Point reveals that the Lakers front office is caught up in a “sting debate” about who will trade between Louis Hachimura and Austin Reeves.
Although neither player is listed in the trading block due to the desire to move, the franchise understands that moving one of them is the only way to address some flaws on the roster.
“From there, things get very quickly and quickly, as a heated debate breaks out about what to do with Austin Reeves and Louis Hachimura, according to the league and team sources.”
“To be clear, both are very well known. Lakers decision makers haven’t seen the day when they can finally get rid of the two better moves that teams have made in the margins in recent years.”
“Even so, this roster requires a desperate facelift. The sense around the league is that they have to part ways with actual contributors on the small draft capital they can use at their disposal to take the step the Lakers want.”

Austin Reeves may be the player who will make way for a new addition to the Lakers. He is in the final year of his contract, and the Reaves can only make $89 million if they re-sign with the Lakers.
This is much less than he can do if he signs with another team. However, the Lakers are not ready to trade him unless they find a star-level center in the trading market.
However, the Lakers know they have to move again to improve their team. Though this news appears to have had a negative effect on Reeve, as it has disrupted him quite a bit.
