At Dougout Live, Nation’s Doug McKain discussed the latest trade proposal from MLB insider Jeff Passan, who linked LA to Pittsburgh Pirates Ace Paul Skenes.
“Paul Skens and the Pittsburgh Pirates fans are worth more,” Passant said on the Pat McAfee show. “He needs to expand alongside the Pirates now. The Pirates have not shown that at this point he deserves Paul Skens’ expansion.”

“Yes, there’s no doubt. Skens is the most electric pitcher in baseball. He’s that guy. But the truth is with Paul Skens. If I trade him, can I guarantee he’ll be healthy?” McCain said. “I don’t want to throw this out there, but I kept it with you guys.
“Paul Skens is in the 95th percentile in speed and averages 98.1 mph on fastball this season. The facts show that the more difficult it is for you to throw, the higher the risk of injury.
