LeBron James and Stephen Curry are both approaching the end of their careers, and both have long been interested in playing with each other. Luka Doncic has become the face of the Los Angeles Lakers, and the two have been paired with the Golden State Warriors?

After trading with Luka Doncic in February, Los Angeles Lakers still employs Lebron James, but keeping him happy is no longer a top priority.

Instead, the team belongs to Doncic, and there is growing belief that James can abandon his no-trade clause and end his career with another team.

Dallas Maverick, like the Cleveland Cavaliers, makes a lot of sense as a LeBron trade destination, but if you want to chase the championship with a longtime rival, trade with the Golden State Warriors probably makes the most sense and won him not be hard to win.

James has long admired Stephen Curry and Steve Kerr, but it has gone in both directions. With every trade rumour swirling, the Warriors appear to be appearing as a viable landing spot, and they reportedly have been interested in him quite recently.

Aging cores are not usually worth breaking the bank, but James should be able to bring millions of fans and compete for titles next to Curry and Draymond Green.

It’s easy and simple to take James to Golden State.

Complete mock trade details:

  • Warriors receive: LeBron James, Bronnie James
  • The Lakers receive: Jimmy Butler

Neither James nor Butler fit perfectly into Donsic’s timeline, but Butler is young and has been on a long contract. So the Lakers sign who they are signing to fill the void at the center, which is the heart of Don Sic, Butler and Austin Reeves.

While swapping Butler for James, the Lakers are placed on a second apron, and the 35-year-old is not the type of player who wants to limit flexibility.

“If the Lakers are OK with that, they can do a one-on-one deal.” Athletic About Fred Katz over the apron. “But they might want to remain flexible. That’s a bit easier. Golden State and Los Angeles were able to find a third team to take on the Lakers’ minimum salary (such as Jordan Goodwin) without paying back.”

Teams like the Brooklyn Nets, New Orleans Pelican, Utah Jazz and Washington Wizards are not planning on competing next season and may be willing to absorb pay from the Lakers in exchange for a second round pick.
