Liverpool attacker Mohamed Sarah has signed a new two-year contract with the club to extend his successful stay at Anfield.
Now, Sarah will be staying in Liverpool until 2027, ending months of speculation.
His future is currently being resolved, and the Premier League leader is currently focused on doing the same thing as Captain Virgil Vandic.
Like Sarah, the Dutch will be free agent at the end of the season, but I’m sure the club and players will reach an agreement over a new contract.
Another Liverpool player who has become a free agent is right-back Trent Alexander Arnold.
Unlike Sarah and Van Dyk, he is expected to leave the club along with Real Madrid, who appears to be his next destination.
Transfer News expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Liverpool manager Arne Slot is the reason Salah decided to stay with the club and sign a new deal.
He said at his daily briefing:
“Mo Salah sent clear indications to the club he really wanted to stay in Liverpool.
“But there was a strong interest from Saudi Arabia, with a few months ago, October, November and December in mind, and there was a specific interest from Saudi Arabia.
“They were ready to offer Mo Salah a big buck. I’m told they’re not the same money offered to Vinicius juniors, but there’s really a lot of money in the area, but Mo Salah feels Liverpool Mo Salah can make a difference in the Premier League.
“Mo Salah is extremely pleased in the long term with Arne Slot and the Liverpool Project as coaches. These were two key factors.
Arne Slot turned Liverpool’s fortunes up
In his first season of charge at the club, slots became fans legends, perhaps leading them to the Premier League title and within touched distances, making Sara the main reason he stayed with the club.
Appointing a Dutch manager proved to be a great decision by the Reds.
They are now hoping to target more players in the transfer window as they are trying to strengthen their team.
Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella will be on the Merseyside Club’s radar prior to the summer transfer period.
