Aston Villa is set to sign Marco Asensio with a permanent transfer, following a loan from Paris Saint-Germain later this season.
Spain International shines during the villa park, but there was uncertainty about whether they would stay with the club in the long run.
Villa links with other big names who play similar styles, including veteran Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruin, who is about to become a free agent.
Still, it appears that Villa chooses to keep Asensio instead, causing the option to sign him up on a three-year contract.
Marco Asensio will do well to seal Aston Villa’s transfer
Asensio certainly is unlikely to have many roles in PSG, so this transaction appears to be valid for all parties involved.
Unai Emery continues to make great progress on this villa side, and I imagine Asensio is just one of many celebrities who are tempted to be part of the club’s future.
The 29-year-old has no doubt that he can help Villa return to the Champions League next season in his final match on loan with the Midlands outfit. And there should be a very strong foundation to build in the next few years.

Marco Asensio transfers to cost bargain fees
The latest report suggests that Asensio will be able to join Villa forever for just £13 million.
It looks like a bargain to a player who was once a key player in Real Madrid.
Since then, injuries have hindered Asensio’s career, but he has never been able to fit PSG at all, but it appears he can revive his career again at Villa Park.
While other names for AVFC are also under consideration, like De Bruyne, Asensio’s £13 million is certainly likely to be a great business.
