Aaron Gordon was Nicola Jokic’s trustworthy sidekick during the 2025 NBA playoffs.
Gordon had several signature moments that drove the Nuggets to victory. First, he had a crazy buzzer-stabbing dunk to beat the Clippers in Game 4.
He then hit the game-winning 3-pointer to help knock off the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 1 of the second round.
Gordon played in Grade 2 hamstring stock with Game 7 and the Thunder due to Denver shortage.
The dynamic duo of Jokic and Gordon grow stronger as the playoffs progress and are about to pick up from where they last left off this season.
Nikola Djokic was an absolute force for the Nuggets during the playoffs. Jokic averaged 26.2 points, 12.7 rebounds and 8.0 assists in 14 games.
Meanwhile, Gordon also chipped in with a strong performance. He averaged 16.2 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.7 assists during the Nuggets’ playoff runs.
Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough as the Thunder blown the nuggets away in Game 7 and eliminated them in the second round.
Gordon spoke about his experience playing with Jokic in the NBA today.
“He’s great. It’s a great experience to know him and have one of the best, if not the best player ever.
“The gravity he has, you guys showed me that I was catching a dunk in that alley, that was the gravity that the Joker has.

“He was filming a one-legged fade-way runner, and everyone in the gym thought it was in. I thought it was in.
“He makes me click on it. I think we understand each other well on and off the basketball floor. You will see it flourish.”
The Nuggets have one of the best starting fives in the NBA, along with Jamal Murray, Christian Brown, Cam Johnson, Gordon and Jokic.
They also have attractive benches with players like Bruce Brown, Tim Hardaway Jr., Julian Stroser, Payton Watson and Jonas Vallanciunas.
Denver is now equipped to get through the long 82-game regular season and get through the intense playoff runs.
The Nuggets are the top three teams in the West and must be seen as a serious threat to lightning.
