After a Game 1 defeat in the 2025 NBA Finals, The Thunder got hungry in Game 2. By halftime, OKC had built a 59-41 lead vs. The Pacers. Indiana was unable to recover.

Oklahoma City won Game 2, 127-103. The series is currently tied 1-1 and heads to Indiana for games 3 and 4. The nameless hero of Thunder in Game 2 was backup SG Aaron Wiggins. He went 5-8 over the arc and finished with 18 points off the bench. His plus/minus +24 was the best of any player on Sunday night.

The headline for Game 2 of the NBA Finals talks about MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander having scored 34 points. He has captivated this postseason, but the beauty of the Thunder roster is its depth. They have several players who get off the bench and have a serious impact on their victory. In Game 2, backup SG Aaron Wiggins was an important piece from the bench.

He scored 18 points on Sunday night, making it 5-8 over the arc. Plus/minus +24 for Wiggins was the best of all players in Game 2. Wiggins also had four rebounds, one assist and one steel. He finished with 18 points in just 21 minutes of action, 6-11 from the field. Aaron Wiggins was the 2021 second round draft pick by the Thunder from Maryland.

During the regular season, Wiggins played 274 games and got off to a 79 start. From 2024-25, Wiggins averaged 12.0 points per game. This is the best new career. The 26-year-old is another player that manager Mark Daygoon praised for this postseason. After 18 points for Wiggins in Game 2 of the Finals, Daigneault praised Wiggins as being always ready. His roles changed in each game, with Wiggins ready to be called on Sunday. OKC heads to Indiana for games 3 and 4, with the series tied to 1-1.
