Arsenal won the 13th draw of the season in the Premier League yesterday, with Crystal Palace being held at home.
As a result, league leader Liverpool is just one point away from mathematically closing out their Premier League title.
The Reds will then win Tottenham at home and have the results they will need to see as champions by the end of this week.
It was a hit for Arsenal, and Arsenal would have been a bigger favorite for the title before the start of the season.
The Gunners have run very close Manchester City over the past two years, but Liverpool has rebuilt after losing legendary manager Jurgen Klopp.
Arsenal paints too many games to become champions
But Arsenal drew too many games to catch up with Liverpool. Everton has more draws (14) in the league this season.
This unnecessary record means Arsenal lost only one game over Liverpool, but they won six fewer, and have now placed in a rather distant second place.
Arteta responded to drawing drawing specialists (via metro) (via metro) as Draw Specialists.
“Sometimes, sometimes the opposition is trusted, but it is true that we played five times with 10 men.
“There are a lot of factors, but obviously, it’s a much better thing in the past, especially when we’ve been ahead in the game.
“We have to be able to watch the game today, especially in the second half, without really much happening.”
Arsenal has not won the league since the famous “Invincible” season in 2003/04. It is clear that they will need to strengthen their team this summer, turn those draws into victory and eventually finish the next semester.
