Details have been revealed about the postwar wild brawl where UFC legend Wonderray Silva caught a cold after his battle with Aselino Freitas.
Silva, who is scheduled for an exhibition between the former WBA and the WBO world champion at Spaten Fight Night 2 in Brazil, was disqualified in the fourth round after repeated headbots of “Popo” in the clinch. When the fight was called, both teams poured into the ring, joining everyone who saw Silva dive into the mix.
After hitting the back of his head during Fracus’ “ax lurderer”, he ate his right hand from the same individual who crashed him onto the unconscious canvas.
After all, the man who KOted Silva was nothing but Freitas’ son, Raphael.
Silva was rushed to San Luis Hospital, where he received stitching around his left eye before being discharged from the hospital.
Freitas issued a statement and apologised for the brawl.
“I didn’t come here to hurt anyone’s image or start a fight or a turmoil,” Freitas said. “I’ll come here, I’ll put a show for you and do my best. If Wonderray butted me in my head, if he turned me to an elbow, it was between him and me, and there was no one else. My team, or his team, should not be involved. The fight here is between him and me.”

Freitas ultimately denounced Silva’s team. This is due to the incident that involves Wonderray’s son, Thor, and former UFC heavyweight champion Fabrio Welldam.
“We tried to bring you the perfect show, but I’m beaten out of nowhere by his coach,” he said. “Another guy tried to suffocate me naked, almost suffocating me.
“I want to apologise to Ambev and Spaten, but I’m telling you, we weren’t at fault. It was ward disease. It was his team. And I don’t know why they put Werdum on this event. This guy s-t on other people’s events.
Of course, Werdum quickly placed the responsibility on the crew of Freitas.
“(Andre) Dida, Thor and I went into the ring when it was all over and Wonderray was disqualified,” Welldam said. “A lot of people came in from Popo’s side. I think it was 20. I’m the only one, Wonderray, Thor, Dida. We were responding to their attacks. They started screaming and came to us.
