According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich concludes Chelsea forward Nicholas Jackson’s surprise loan agreement and is currently negotiating the advanced stage.
The Bundesliga champions moved quickly to secure attack reinforcement before the transfer window closed, and Jackson appeared as the player they wanted to bring in.
Plettenberg reports that Bayern and Chelsea are currently locked in discussions to finalise finer points on the contract, but the transaction framework is already in place.
Importantly, Bayern is ready to cover the full amount of the 24-year-old striker. This has proven to be a critical factor in persuading Chelsea to entertain the move.
Nicholas Jackson has no future for Chelsea
The attackers fell to a pecking order at Stamford Bridge after the arrival of Joan Pedro and Liam Dellup in the summer.
Manager Enzo Maresca was sure Jackson had to be offloaded this summer and the club was looking for a buyer for him.
The attackers were also interested in Premier League clubs, and Newcastle United and Aston Villa were linked to his moves, but now Bayern Munich has been able to make a breakthrough in the deal.
On the player’s side, Jackson is already giving him a green light. Senegal International is said to have “a 100% agreed” with Bayern Munich’s proposal. He believes the opportunity to play for Germany is seen as a major step in his career.
The chance to compete for titles domestically and Europe with one of the continent’s biggest clubs is considered an important attraction.
Bayern Munich makes breakthroughs in Jackson trading
At Bayern, sports director Max Ebal is currently personally overseeing the final stages of negotiations.
Some details of the transaction still need clarification, but optimism is high as soon as it reaches a solution.
The Bayern giants are looking for the depth of their offensive to support Harry Kane, Louis Diaz, Michael Oris and other offensive talents.
This move is also beneficial for Chelsea. The Premier League has been under pressure to balance their team after a string of big money signatures, and sending Jackson on loan will reduce wage pressure while ensuring strikers get valuable experiences at the highest level.
If the remaining details are resolved soon, Jackson could soon be announced as Bayern Munich’s latest addition.
