The MotoxRacing Yamaha team announced their split with Tito Rabat after the fifth round of the 2025 World Superbike season.
Rabato joined this year’s Motox Racing as Italian outfits expanded from one bike to two in 2025.
The Spanish rider, who won the 2014 Moto2 World Championship and rode the Puccetti Kawasaki in the previous two World SBK seasons, scored only two points in 2025 at Motox Racing.
The lack of results was cited in a statement by MotoxRacing as the reason for the split between the team and rider.
“In agreement with rider Tito Rabato, the Yamaha Motox Racing Worldsub team has announced its decision to cancel the contract with the above mentioned rider,” the statement said.
“Despite the enormous efforts of both the team and the rider, the outcome was unfortunately not possible, and therefore the decision was made to allow both parties to pursue their own goals.
“Yamaha’s Motox Racing World Sub team thanked Titrabat for his professionalism and wished him good luck in the future.”
The Italian team has confirmed that they have not announced any alternatives to Rabat or will replace him at the time of writing. However, the team has organized replacements for almost a month, with the sixth round of the season at Misano from June 13-15th.
