The arrival of Cooper Flags will ensure that the Dallas Mavericks fanbase moves out of Lukadon Sic.
When Luka Donsic traded with the Los Angeles Lakers, many believed that the Dallas Mavericks were engaged in one of the most biased transactions of all time.
Clearly, general managers Nico Harrison and Top Brass faced the rage of the Mavericks fanbase. To this day, many MAVS fans want Harrison to be fired, but if this story has one silver lining, it’s the arrival of Cooper Flag.
The Mavericks will choose flags on the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, and the former Dukester is expected to become the franchise’s cornerstone superstar.
Before Doncic, a fan favorite was Dirk Nowitzki. After all, Dark led the Mavericks to the only championship in franchise history in 2011.
However, with Doncic’s departure, Nowitzki is still somewhat distant from Mavericks. Still, Dark didn’t shy away from welcoming Flag to the organization.
“Welcome. Obviously, congratulations on your first pick to Dallas.
“That’s how I left it, and that’s how I was always with Luka,” Nowicski revealed in DLLS Sports.
Flag has something like Anthony Davis, but coach him with Mavs.
Doncic joined the league during the 2018-19 season. This was also Nowitzki’s final campaign in the NBA.
With that in mind, Nowiczki revealed that he is tasked with coaching rookie Donsic. But in reality, Luka didn’t need Dark.
“I was supposed to coach Luka, and Luka, the way he read the game, he was very clever. His IQ was out of this world,” continued Nowicki.
“He should have probably taught me how to read the game and watch the game, so he didn’t need much from me,” he concluded.
In fact, Donsic is a generational superstar and it will be interesting to see if Flagg turns out to be the same. Otherwise, the Mavericks will likely regret their decision to trade Don Sic.
