Houston Rockets star Kevin Durant is often on the list of the best scorers of all time.
Other notable names on such lists are usually Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. Fans are still thinking of two of the best scorers of all time.
Fans had no chance to witness Kevin Durant sharing the court with Jordan, but they saw him doing the same thing as Bryant on Team USA.
You may wonder who came out as Team USA’s best scorer. Well, one NBA fan claimed it was a Los Angeles Lakers legend.
During the 2012 Olympics, basketball fans witnessed Mamba and slim leapers shared the courtroom for Team USA.
Clearly, Team USA dominated the tournament and won gold medals in the process. Speaking of their time, NBA fans labeled KD as a lesser scorer compared to Bryant.
Seeing the virus tweet on X, the Houston Rockets star wasted little time before returning to the fans and applauding.
“Mamba is one of my idols. I love him, but I averaged at least 20 games in the gold medal game. I actually had Kobe and 30 pieces of nuggets,” Durant wrote in X.
He added: “The lessons of history are not signs of anxiety. You choose to forget! Have a good day, Jacob.”
For context, Durant mentioned the 2012 gold medal game between the US and Spain. He dropped 30 points and won the Team USA gold medal.
With the offseason fully flowing, the Rockets star has extra time in his hands. He uses it to counter the debate of NBA fans on social media platforms.
Previously, Durant fought back against the fans in the goat scorer debate, claiming that he was his coach’s dream.
It’s not surprising that he appreciates that much given that KD averaged 27.2 points per game in his NBA career.
Separately, Durant angered Michael Jordan fans at the arguments of the three-level scorer. All things considered, the 2x NBA champions are on average winning streak and he’s a bit unrestrained.
