The agent of central Juventus midfielder Douglas Lewis reportedly could potentially move to Fenerbahce.
Football Italy’s Alfredo Pedura said Jose Mourinho had a clear signal that Fenervafes should offer to sign Louis from Juve this summer.
Although there were few plans for the Brazilian during his single season at Juventus, his representative appears to be unwilling to go to Türkiye.
Instead, according to a Pedulla report, Luiz’s main ambition is a move into the Premier League, with Nottingham Forest appearing to be a serious option.
Douglas Lewis could head to Nottingham Forest, but has also linked to Manchester United.
It could be something Manchester United should see, not just the forest. Football Insider recently linked the former Aston Villa man to his move to Old Trafford.
Lewis glittered at the villa park, but it makes sense to be seen as a fascinating option for Man UTD, which can do upgrades such as Casemiro and Manuel Ugarte in the middle of the park.
As Fabrizio Romano also reports on the Red Devils in the new midfielder market if opportunities arise, see below…
Romano did not mention Lewis, but the 27-year-old makes sense as someone who can become available and does a good job for United in that area of the pitch.
Will Douglas Lewis return to England to revive his career?
It’s a bit surprising that Lewis couldn’t show his best form for Juventus, but he may need to try and revive his career in British football.
If Forest could bring him in, he would make a fair statement, and I imagine most MUFC fans would be pretty pleased with this potential deal too.
There will also be many villa fans who hope that Lewis never left.
