Arsenal reportedly aims to sign three Spanish top players this summer, and it appears that he has already seen a deal with Martin Zubimendi.
The Real Sociedad midfielder has long been strongly associated with the gunner, and now it appears that he will be his first summer signature.
According to the football relocation, this should see Zubimendi’s move to Arsenal, officially announced by Zubimendi in June, while the North London giants have two other Laliga big names on the list.
According to the report, Mikel Arteta also said he is keen to introduce Athletic Bilbao’s Winger Nico Williams and Espanyol goalkeeper Joao Garcia.
Arsenal needs a strong transfer window after a disappointing season
Arsenal fans will certainly hope that these rumours are true as they will be desperate to see the club respond appropriately to a difficult season.
It is clear that AFC lacks in several areas, especially attacks. So Williams could be particularly welcome at Arteta’s Front 3.
Zubimendi, meanwhile, appears to be a significant potential addition as Yorginho is approaching the end of the contract.
What does Joan Garcia’s transfer mean to David Raya?
The Zvimendi and Williams deal makes sense, but it’s a bit difficult to understand what Arsenal’s plans will be if Arsenal’s plans introduces Espanyol’s goalkeeper Garcia.
The 24-year-old is certainly too good to come to Emirates Stadium and sit on the bench, so this means Arsenal is aiming to replace David Raya in goal.
Raya only joined Arsenal last season and hasn’t made a mistake with his foot so far, so losing his place would be a little tough for him.
Still, we have seen Arteta be as ruthless as Aaron Ramsdale in the past, so perhaps the Spanish tactician will once again turn to his number one.
