Alejandro Garnacho to Chelsea Alejandro Garnacho looks like it’s really going on, so what can blues fans expect if they join Manchester United winger?
For Old Trafford’s talented young Argentina, it’s a spell up and down, a deal that is likely to bring mixed emotions from both sides.
Perhaps there is a supporter of people who are worried about selling to rivals like Chelsea, as there is a sense that we haven’t seen the best Garnacho yet.
At the same time, perhaps the Red Devils rub their hands with the prospect of cashing out difficult personalities for great profits. Chelsea fans, on the other hand, wonder why the club isn’t aiming a little higher or focusing on other positions when there are already many options in the offense.
Who is Alejandro Garnacho? Background and early career
Garnacho was born in Madrid to a Spanish father and an Argentinian mother. He initially represented Spain at the under-18 level, but is now international in Argentina.
The Winger began at Geta Fair Academy before moving to Atletico Madrid in 2015 and stayed until 2020 when he was snapped by United.
According to Manchester Evening News, the money is clearly worth it for Ghanacho, who initially spent just £420,000, when United got off to an impressive start with the club’s youth team before intervening on the senior side.
Garnacho is also known for being a huge fan of MUFC legend Cristiano Ronaldo.
Career statistics and performance style
Garnacho has played in various positions for United, appearing on both sides, and is sometimes filled as a central offensive midfielder.
He can score and support, but he is likely to try and hit the box to score himself, rather than dribbling whip on the cross by his fullback.

Garnacho seems to be a little less effective than fellow new arrivals Jamie Gittens and the current Chelsea Man Pedro Neto.
Still, the returns of 11 goals and nine assists in all of this struggling United side’s competition last season aren’t too bad. It’s also easy to see why Chelsea feels better when he’s on Enzo Maresca’s team.
2025 Transfer Status explained
It has been clear for a while that the 21-year-old, especially since Reuben Amorim became manager, is a rather inconsistent and unstable 21-year-old, and that a departure from United in Garnacho was inevitable.
Garnacho was frequently featured in the Europa League finals last season, but when he didn’t start in the final against Tottenham, he didn’t hide his feelings.
“Up to the finals, I played every round that helped my team, and I’ll play 20 minutes today.
“The finals affect (my decision), but the whole season, the club situation. I’m looking forward to the summer and trying to see what happens afterwards.”
Despite his struggle in Manchester, Catch off side Garnacho understands that he attracts suitors from top European clubs, including Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid and Napoli.
Garnacho also refused the opportunity to move to the Saudi Arabian professional league club Arunasl and always preferred to stay in Europe, particularly in the Premier League.
