Liverpool remains interested in signing Newcastle United attacker Alexander Isaac.
Isaac is a dream transfer target as the Premier League champions are looking for a new striker to lead the offensive for the uncertain future of Anfield’s Darwinnes.
The Reds, who have already completed signing Jeremy Fripon, Florian Wiltz and Milos Ceres, have refused to stop the summer transfer business.
Arne Slot is looking at domination in British football in the coming season. He is ready to make a statement this summer by adding more quality to his team.
From Alexander Isaac to Liverpool?
Isak has established himself as one of the best attackers in the world, not just in the Premier League.
He helped Magpies with the success of the Carabao Cup and helped him qualify for the Champions League next season.
Commentator Ian Dark discussed the possibility that Isaac would sign the Merseyside Club.
He told Liverpool News:
“I mean, you can say there’s no smoke without fire. He couldn’t say that publicly, but I don’t think there are many players hiding in Europe who aren’t interested in the idea of playing in Liverpool.
“Isak is no exception. If Newcastle hadn’t made the Champions League on the last day of last season, I think it would have been another kettle of fish.
“But they look like a long shot from where I’m sitting. I don’t know what kind of discussion is going on behind the scenes, but if Newcastle sells Isaac, you can imagine there’s a riot in Tyneside.”
Reds may find it difficult to fund ISAK transactions
Spending around £150 million to sign ISAK this summer may not be financially viable for Liverpool this summer as they have already spent a lot of money on new players.
They may have to come up with creative solutions. That involves players going in a different direction at St. James Park.
As it stands, Newcastle United does not intend to leave the club to a star player, and the Reds may have to consider other options in the market.
With Champions League football available next season, ISAK prefers to stay in Newcastle for the time being to continue progressing and development.
