This is a summary of all F1 drivers and team contract status ahead of the 2026 season, including Cadillac as the 11th entry.

We’ve included all the latest rumours that will get the x and which will allow teams to be swapped for the next season…

McLaren

McLaren already locks up next year’s driver lineup in place, with both Randororis and Oscar Piastri being tied to deals, including the 2026 campaign.

Either Norris or Piastri could enter the 2026 season as defending F1 champions.

Ferrari

Like McLaren, Ferrari also sorts both drivers in 2026.

At the beginning of 2024, Charles Leclerc signed a new long-term contract that would run until the end of the 2029 campaign and be said to be five more years.

Meanwhile, the superstar signed Lewis Hamilton and took part in a deal that is understood to cover at least the 2025 and 2026 campaigns.

Red Bull

Four-time world champion Max Verstappen signed a long-term contract in March 2022 to stay at Red Bull until the end of 2028.

However, Verstappen’s future is questionable, and rumors continue even after the plunder of Red Bull Boss Christian Horner.

Verstappen’s misfortune has been reported for the past year. Mercedes is in front of the queue if they ask for an exit for 2026 despite being on the contract.

Verstappen and Mercedes boss Toto Wolff reportedly met to discuss the moves that have taken place after the 2025 F1 British Grand Prix.

The driver of the second Red Bull car is also a problem.

Liam Lawson only lasted two races in 2025 as a teammate for Verstappen. However, Tsunoda has been struggling ever since getting his gig. There is a big debate about who will return for Red Bull next season.

Mercedes

Max Verstappen

Max Verstappen

Andrea Kimi Antoneri and George Russell know that their future may depend on Mercedes’ interest in Verstappen.

Russell’s contract expires at the end of 2025, but the long delay in committing to a new contract sparked suspicions that Mercedes wanted Verstappen.

Russell argues that it’s very unlikely that he will leave in 2026. However, no deals have yet to be made, and rumors continue.

Antoneri was his rookie season and is likened to a young Barstappen for his potential.

Aston Martin

The Aston Martin lineup is set to remain unchanged for 2026.

Fernando Alonso is on the contract until the end of the 2026 season, but Lance is effectively strolling other seats as long as he wants to continue the race thanks to ownership of his father’s team.

Aston Martin also linked to Verstappen’s move, but those rumors are whimsical.

Adrian Newy’s arrival gives great hope to the 2026 Aston Martin driver.

Takayama

Pierre Gasly has one of the 2026 alpine seats after agreeing to a new multi-year contract extension for the previous period.

However, there is constant speculation about their second driver.

Jack Doohan’s rookie campaign lasted only six races before he was x out of his seat.

Famously signed as a reserve and test driver, Williams impressed Franco Colapinto has replaced Doohan in the car. However, Alpine has always admitted to continuing to monitor his progress.

Valtteri Bottas is mentioned as an option to be thrown into a Cora Pinto car before the 2025 season ends.

At this stage, who will make Guthrie partner in the French team in 2026?

Haas

Esteban Ocon and Oliver Baerman formed a new look lineup for Haas in 2025, both have deals covering 2026.

Racing Bulls

Red Bull’s sister costume Racing Bulls does not have any drivers signed up for 2026.

Their drivers will depend on Red Bull’s decision first.

Former Racing Bulls boss Laurent Mekies was taken over from Red Bull’s Christian Horner.

Isack Hadjar was impressed by the Race Bulls rookie campaign.

He began the season with Yuki Tsunoda, who was quickly promoted to Red Bull. Liam Lawson, along with Hajar, demoted the bull to racing.

Williams

Carlos Sainz agrees to join Williams on a few years’ deal, continuing with Alex Albon in 2026.

Audi

Sauber will become the Audi Works F1 team in 2026, with Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortotelo set up.

Hulkenberg signed a three-year deal when he signed from Haas in 2024, but Sauber’s Bortoleto announcement, called the Rigning Formula 2 Champion “Future Audi Driver,” suggesting that his deal will cover more than a season.

Cadillac

The third final team with no confirmed drivers for 2026 is Cadillac.

The American outfit is set to become the 11th team in F1 next year, opening two extra spots on the grid.

Cadillac has many interesting suitors knocking on the door. Valtteri Bottas has already admitted he is keen to join the project after losing his full-time F1 drive.

Sergio Perez has been out of work since being dropped by Red Bull and is also an important candidate.

Cadillac initially suggested that they wanted an American driver, but this has become even cooler recently. Instead, you can combine veterans with newcomers.
