LeBron James opened himself up to ridicule in his comments after the La Lakers lost to the Golden State Warriors.
LeBron James’ toughest stretch came when his Cleveland Cavaliers were swept 4-0 by the Golden State Warriors in the 2018 final.
LeBron James, who slightly avoided the sweep in a 4-1 final loss in 2017, had no answer to the Warriors team that added Kevin Durant.
And it appears LeBron had an unfortunate flashback when Warriors’ new addition, Jimmy Butler, helped the team enter LA and win the final matchup between teams this season.
After the Warriors’ victory over the Lakers, LeBron James, who lost, paid tribute to the Warriors for once again bolstering the roster and re-strengthening Durant in parallel.
La Lakers superstar Lebron James has expressed his comments after his defeat against Western Conference competitors.
He states: “I’ve made big acquisitions to change the dynamics of their team. When they added Kevin Durant, I had to resist them. Jimmy Butler is great, he’s going to add toughness, championship DNA type guy.”
Warriors fans detected a bitter touch in LeBron James’ comments. He also points out his hypocrisy.
One wrote:
Second post: “After the Lakers escaped Mavs to get Luka… this is hilarious.”
“The victim is always the man who has benefited most from adding a superstar to his team,” a third fan wrote.
“Is he really saying this? Bron lost his heart after playing with all the talent he did,” added another.
“All PPL Man has been involved in the super team for 15 years,” writes the fifth.
And another pointed out: “He’s saying this about his mid-30s player, so he doesn’t have Luka in his prime.”
“How about you? I always have an All-Star teammate every year,” another wrote, but another posted.
LeBron James could argue that Warriors fans were decontexting his comments, and that he simply respects the organization’s ability to understand things.
There was a short speculation at one stage that he could even team up with the Warriors, but these rumors didn’t put it out since December.
Instead, LeBron James was joined by new star teammate Luka Donsic in Los Angeles, and Anthony Davis was sent in other directions to win the title in 2020.
With the Cleveland Cavaliers, he enjoyed playing alongside Kyrie Irving, while two titles at the Miami Heat won with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosch as part of the All-Star Big Three.
