The New York Knicks are away from Kevin Durant’s move, which is expected to be traded by the Phoenix Suns.

Kevin Durant was famous for having the opportunity to sign with the New York Knicks in 2019.

Durant chose Brooklyn Net due to controversy, and the Knicks insisted that “it’s not cool to play.”

Speaking in 2024, Durant admitted that the Knicks had changed their minds. This is an interesting statement as I look forward to being evicted from the Phoenix Suns.

A big Kevin Durant trade is expected, claiming that rockets, spurs and heat are three front runners.

Durant’s topic for the Knicks is being discussed on ESPN, but the interest appears to be one-sided.

Mark J. Spears reports that the New York Knicks are not going to make a deal for Kevin Durant despite their desire to move to the Big Apple.

Speaking to ESPN’s NBA today, Spears commented: “KD wanted the New York Knicks, and the Knicks aren’t interested in bringing him in.

This update sparked a strong response from Knicks fans. He believes it was the players’ fault for missing out.

One fan wrote:

Another addition: “He had a chance and chose the net.”

A third fan blasted: “He might have been. It’s a shame they were “not cool” enough for him at the time. I went to the net. I know what happened to that.

“He could have been Nick. Instead, he chose to follow Kylie and go to the net. We haven’t given up on pieces or picks to get the 37-year-old KD,” another fan added.

“I don’t know if this is the right move, but it’s definitely poetic justice,” another wrote.

Another NBA fan wrote: “The Knicks are smart! He’s 37 years old and will not be able to improve it with his first apron and will break up the heart of the roster. He’ll also give him a two-year window at Max.”

It’s understandable to skip Kevin Durant as an isolated decision. The Suns star fits the timeline, but this wasn’t the time to add him as a free agent.

The Knicks would have to trade for Durant, and what they had to give up would essentially put their roster in a similar position.

Former Celtics star Paul Pierce described Durant’s Knicks trade as a lateral movement.

Of all this, there’s a bigger problem for the Knicks. They currently don’t have a head coach after firing Tom Thibodeau.

The front office can still negotiate transactions and make roster decisions, but it would be smarter to hire a head coach first and have a unified vision to build for the future.
