Bournemouth defender Dean Huysen is a player in demand this summer, with multiple clubs keen to secure his signature.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea, they want to sign a talented young Spanish defender and will have to pay £50 million to get the deal done.
Players are squeezing their options
The player is reportedly assessing his options, and he will make a decision in the summer. It would be interesting to see where he ends.
He has already established himself as a reliable Premier League defender, and only improves through coaching and experience. He has the attributes that develop into a top-class player. The £50 million ask price may seem like a premium now, but the Spanish defender can justify future investments.
Arsenal could use deeper depths in defensive units, and the 20-year-old would be a long-term investment for them. However, they need to improve other areas of the team, and the central defender is not a priority. Spending £50 million on the Spaniard could prove problematic.
Liverpool and Chelsea need Dean Huyssen
As far as Liverpool is concerned, they should do everything in their power to sign 20 years old this summer. Joe Gomez is very injured and Jarrell Quanza is not enough to start regularly in the Premier League. Liverpool cannot rely on Virgil Vandic and Ibrahi Maconate to start all the games. They need more depth at will at will, and Huissen is ideal.
As far as Chelsea is concerned, you’ll need a quality central defender in the summer. Benoit Badiashile will be able to leave the club at the end of the season, and Huijsen will be a solid replacement. It will be interesting to see which of the three clubs has made the deal.
