Los Angeles right-hander Bobby Miller has experienced the ups and downs of being an MLB pitcher.
After his electric rookie season in LA in 2023, Miller hasn’t regained the same success after finishing with trust to start the NLDS game at just 24 years old. After the bulging era of 2024 bulging, 2025 seemed like a great opportunity for a comeback season, along with shoulder complications that slowed him down.

Unfortunately, Miller’s season was unsettling as he was hit in the head on a 106 mph line drive on the 12th pitch of spring training. After being able to stand up on his own and leave the field, Miller became the fifth starting pitcher from the spring training race, making a 23-Triple-A appearance and becoming a 5.12 ERA.
After struggling as a starting pitcher, the have recently chosen to shift Miller into a bullpen role, hoping to capitalize on unrealized possibilities.
As Miller began moving from starter to reliever, he spoke to ‘ Doug McCain about crossing his path with All-Star right-hander Blake Trainen.

“Even when (Blake) Trainen was rehabilitating here, he was here for me. He was there for my first day of transitioning to the bullpen in Reno, Nevada.
“He’s a great teammate and a great person, so that was really nice.”
In the constant uncertainty surrounding Miller’s play, getting a pointer from the presence of the terrifying bullpen should be extremely promising for anyone working towards an unrelief’s new role.
Since moving into the bullpen, Miller has made seven appearances and has run once for eight innings with a 1.13 ERA. He has six strikeouts.
