Allen Iverson was a force to be reckoned with during the prime of his NBA career.
Despite being a bit undersized for an NBA player, Allen Iverson was still a dominant force in the league during his time with the Philadelphia 76ers.
Although Iverson won numerous individual honors, he retired without winning an NBA championship.
But what if Iverson were a modern-day NBA player and could choose his teammates?
As an individual player, Iverson had incredible confidence in his skills. After all, Iverson earned praise from Michael Jordan for his mentality during his rookie season.
But getting back to the question at hand, if the AI had a chance to choose NBA stars in 2025, it would have narrowed the list to Nikola Jokic, Joel Embiid, and Luka Doncic.
“I want to play with Embiid when he’s healthy, and I want to play with Joker and Luka. He’s a straight-up killer,” Iverson said on The Stephen A. Smith Show.
It stands to reason that Iverson, a point/shooting guard, would thrive with either Jokic or Embiid by his side.
However, many may wonder if his chemistry with Doncic will be elite. After all, they are both ball-dominant superstars.
As expected, Stephen A. Smith questioned Iverson’s fit with the Los Angeles Lakers star. But the 76ers legend had an answer.
“When you get it, you know what to do, you know how to touch it. You put me on the court with that serial killer, you got a problem,” Iverson replied.
Now, that’s confidence, and fans will wonder about a hypothetical scenario where Iverson and Doncic were teammates.
Unfortunately, while Luka is in the prime of his career, Iverson is long retired from the league, so there’s no way that dream could become a reality.
