The Minnesota Timberwolves have agreed to expand the careers of one veteran.
The Minnesota Timberwolves, a finalist in consecutive Western Conferences, are trying their best to bring the team together.
This also agrees to tie Naz Reid into an extension and a new three-year deal with Julius Randle.
The double deal puts them in danger of losing Nickeil Alexander-Walker. But there’s another player they brought home.
The Minnesota Timberwolves have agreed to a new year extension with Joeingles, a veteran who is now 37 years old.
Shams Charania first reported the news and terms of the contract.
He writes: “Free agent forward Joeingles is planning to sign a one-year, $3.6 million deal to return to the Minnesota Timberwolves.”
This led to a harsh response from New York Knicks star Josh Hart.
Heart writes:
Hart and Ingles never played the game on the same team, but both were involved in the same three-team deal in 2022, so they both traded with the Portland Trail Blazers.
Ingles was injured at the time, so the two didn’t line up on the court together, and Hart left to join the New York Knicks in the 2023 trade.
Hart’s comments were made in joking respect for Ingles’ longevity. He is currently in his 12th NBA season.
- 2014-2022: Utah Jazz
- 2022-2023: Milwaukee Bucks
- 2023-2024: Orlando Magic
- 2024-present Minnesota Timberwolves
Ingress played a veteran role in Minnesota, playing only 19 regular season games in 2024-25, averaging 6.0 minutes per game.
He didn’t play at all in the Timberwolves playoffs this past season, despite running to the final of the conference.
