The Milwaukee Bucks have a dramatic comeback victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves, indicating that their team is still a dangerous threat.
Heading into the playoffs, the Milwaukee Bucks gained confidence by scoring a 40-13 run in the fourth quarter.
Without Damien Lillard, the Milwaukee Bucks cannot be underestimated. With a real superstar like team Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Eastern Conference team still has a big performance possible.
Giannis had a 23-13-10 triple double in a 110-103 victory, breaking the hearts of Timberwolves fans, and the team is now out of the West Playoff spot.
Giannis Antetokounmpo spoke after the match, praising the depths of the Milwaukee backsteam.
He spoke to AJ Green, Kevin Porter JR, Bobby Portis and Gary Trent JR about his contributions from the bench.
Portis had a double double on his return, but Kevin Porter JR contributed 21 points.
Giannis added that once all four players are upgraded to starters, he will be fine at all.
He states:
“They play hard, they bring energy. They could become our starters. Why?
“They moved the ball very well, played each other, competed defensively, did an incredible job.”
Milwaukee Bucks Quartet | Min | Point Rebound Assist |
AJ Green | twenty three | 9-4-1 |
Kevin Porter Jr. | twenty five | 21-4-5 |
Bobby Portis | 29 | 18-10-1 |
Gary Trent Jr. | twenty five | 7-2-4 |
The teammate who caught Giannis Antetocomo’s eyes was Kevin Porter Jr.
Giannis said: “He does a lot. He makes it easy for the team. He can make shots himself, he can make shots for his team and play at an incredible pace.”
We chose Porter JR as the player who needs to step up alongside Lillard. Giannis previously praised him for his “solid” start in Milwaukee.
The victory means the Bucks were fifth in the Eastern Conference and took a two-game lead with the Detroit Pistons for the sixth time.
