Three weeks after winning the Maiden Worldsub at Assen, Andrea Rocatelli is facing the crowds of his home as the Italian round marks the fifth round of the 2025 season.

The Pattaya Maha riders came third in the championship rankings, where they became the first rider to win a world superbike race while not riding a Ducati or BMW since Alex Rose won Race 2 at Philip Island at Kawasaki last year.

Rocatelli – We welcomed Jonathan Lea back to the Pata Yamaha garage for the first time since the Test before the final season in Australia. The Northern Ireland rider finally returned to the race for two months with injuries after the opportunity to settle for his maiden victory, which came after a record 154 start, eventually spent a few weeks to settle.

“I had time to feel the real victory at Assen at home now, and it was a dreamy, incredible feeling,” Rocatelli said ahead of the home’s round in Cremona.

“Now I can’t wait to race at home in Cremona. We want to move forward with a positive feeling. The track is very tricky, but we have a good foundation. The goal is to practice for free from Friday and work well and be ready for Race 1 in every session.

“I also know that since last year, Super Poles are really important to getting a good starting position.

“I look forward to the weekend and hope to meet many fans again in the grandstand and have a good show for everyone!

“As always, we continue to believe in ourselves, in our work with Yamaha and our team, and we are looking to fight for the podium again.”
