The Los Angeles have been chatting a lot about three MVP Shohei Ohtani, mostly about where he is most used as a postseason pitcher, and the issue has been recently considered by Andrew Friedman, president of the baseball business.
Otani has made 13 outings on the mound this season, and they all started, but the current state of the bullpen made Friedman not exactly shut down the idea of the appearance of Ohatani of Salvation.

“There’s something unpredictable in October,” Friedman said.
The fell to the Philadelphia Phillies on Monday to start a three-game set, but ahead of the contest, the former right-handed Walker Bueller was spotted along with his old teammate.
Friedman used Buhler as an example of how unpredictable things can take place in the postseason, and how Otani could virtually follow in the same footsteps.
“Walker Buhler was our starting pitcher last year and finished Game 5 of the World Series,” Friedman said. “So I don’t know how things will unfold.”
At least for now, Otani is expected to continue to start the game and become part of the October rotation.
“We hope he will be a starter for us,” Friedman said.
Otani as a batsman has done quite a bit of fact to collect his fourth MVP award, but as a pitcher, he continues to excel.
He pitched five no-hit innings against the Phillies on Tuesday, and a shutout inning of 8.2 in his final two starts.
That year, pitcher Otani has a 3.29 ERA in 41 innings total. His average fastball speed is at 98 mph, which has risen since his 2023 campaign.
If he can continue to improve his bump, no matter which innings he will be a strength to consider this postseason.
