Like Luka Doncic and Anthony Davis, the fate of Jimmy Butler and Andrew Wiggins is guaranteed to remain locked up together forever, though not as dramatic.
For Andrew Wiggins, he already has the comfort of his new team breaking the right kind of record to balance the scale.
Jimmy Butler has absolutely flew with the Warriors since the trade. This is something that cannot be said for the heat, but Wiggins definitely doesn’t.
He just slammed that point again with his 42-point explosion and the Hornets, doing something because of the heat Butler never did.
By his own approval, Jimmy Butler’s passionate tenure was a failure.
It was probably good that Heat fans would receive the polar opposite players’ polarities, but they didn’t lack talent, as they were bothered by Butler’s single-mindedness.
Wiggins is exactly that player, easing Butler’s confusion in every aspect of his personality and now matches his performance.
After a 30-point performance against the Rocket recently, he got better for one, dropping 42 against the Hornets, maintaining the heat during play-in-place conversations.
In the process, he accomplished something Butler never managed in six years with the team. I played games with over 40 points in the regular season.
Butler, of course, managed a much better performance, especially when the lights were brightest during the playoffs, especially when they lost to the Lakers in the legendary final of the Heat in 2020.
But for what they are now, Wiggins is the perfect player to have, and he is determined to make his name with the team.
After the game, Wiggins cut the Happy Figure. Especially in the next game, full of reunions to take on the Golden State Warriors.
Wiggins said he was made to feel welcome by his teammates and his mantra of being offensive made him a fan favorite.
He said: “I’m just comfortable and I’m offensive. The team helps me get involved and feel comfortable on the court. That’s just connecting with the team.”
After his successive impressive performances, Wiggins averages 21 points/game for The Heat, and he manages most as he was with the Timberwolves.
He joined the game with his old team in the best possible form of shooting, and Butler became eager to make his mark, making the Heat feel comfortable around his own heatwave scorer.
