The Los Angeles have one of the best rosters in baseball, but perhaps the weakest link on the team is outfield depth. The 2025 season marks Mookie Betts’ return to the infield, with some questions in the outfield.

Tescal Hernandez and Michael Comfort now fill in the corners of the outdoors, but it has been largely a mystery throughout the spring that they will occupy Center Field. The final spot competition in the outfield was largely between James Outman and Andy Page after Tommy Edman took Heason Kim’s spot on the infield
But neither the Outman nor the Page were able to easily select the as they struggled to function well in camp.
Nevertheless, Page took his second year centre fielder to test as he had to score a starting spot and proved he deserved to remain in the lineup. Like some of the other in the lineup, the pages struggle to produce on plates.
He hits just .171 with the .648 OPS. Before his two home runs, Page was 35-4 at the plate. His performance was dramatically different from his average .248, 13 home runs and 46 runs in the 2024 season.
“It added a bit of stress to my days,” Page told Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times, who was in his struggle. “It feels good. It’s not just a few of the things I’ve worked for, it’s not going well.”
The ‘ first season homer’ 8-2 loss to the Washington Nationals was uplifting for the 24-year-old.
“It gave me more confidence,” Page said. “To get some results…it was a big lift from my back.”
As the return to LA, Page will build a recent production with the plate and try to solidify his spot with the lineup.
Otherwise, Edman can always return to center field if the team wants to give shots at the major league level.
