The Los Angeles are four wins away from winning back-to-back baseball championships for the first time in 25 years. To do that, they need to beat the American League’s No. 1 seed, the Toronto Blue Jays, in the 2025 World Series.
The have left-handed pitcher Blake Snell on the mound, but he has been virtually untouchable this postseason, posting a 3-0 record with an 0.86 ERA and 28 strikeouts in three starts (21 innings).
Snell’s opponent is Blue Jays rookie right-hander Trey Yesavage, who has a 2-1 record with a 4.20 ERA and 22 strikeouts in three starts (15 innings) this October.
Bo Bichette, who hasn’t pitched for the Blue Jays since Sept. 6, is cleaning up and playing second base, a position he last played in Triple-A in just one game in 2019.
As for the , they will be going with the same starting nine they used in the National League Championship Series.
