Anthony Davis congratulated Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James after being inducted into the Nysmith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame as a member of the 2008 “Risk Team.”
James was part of the 2008 US Men’s Olympic basketball team that won gold in Beijing after a disappointing bronze medal at the 2004 Olympics.
He is currently one of two active players to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, joining Los Angeles Clippers’ point guard Cris Paul.
James’ individual introductions come after his retirement, but calling himself a Hall of Fame while playing in the league is an incredible feat.
Dallas Mavericks star Anthony Davis played with LeBron James for the Lakers from 2019 to early 2025, and praised LeBron on social media for his achievements.
He commented, “Elite!!!!”, under James’ recent Instagram post, shows his Hall of Fame jacket.

James and Davis are a terrifying duo who won the championship alongside the Lakers, defeating the Miami Heat in six games in the 2020 NBA Finals.
Their tenure ended in February when Davis was traded for the Dallas Mavericks for Luka Donsic on a blockbuster deal.
James exercised a $52.6 million option with the Lakers for the 2025-26 season. This confirms that he will become the first player in NBA history to play a 23-day season in the league.
After this season, James will become an unlimited free agent and you can choose where you want to play next.
Or he could call it a career. There has been a lot of speculation about when James will retire, but it is unclear when that will happen.
For now, James will focus on trying to win another championship with Luka Donsic with another one with the Lakers.
