The Dallas Mavericks acquired Anthony Davis in a shocking trade with the Los Angeles Lakers.
No one in the NBA expected the Dallas Mavericks to trade Lukadon Sic’s caliber superstar. However, the front office seemed to want to move on from Donsic.
They did so by trading with Anthony Davis’s much older and talented superstar. Since joining Mavs, AD has experienced injuries.
The previous No. 1 overall pick is dedicated to the franchise, but many believe Mavericks fans aren’t fully embracing him yet. So, what does that mean for his relationship with GM Nico Harrison?
Since its huge hit, Harrison has faced the rage of the media and fans. But what about his relationship with the star he traded with?
Well, NBA insider Zach Lowe recently shared two cents about Davis and Harrison’s current relationship.
“I don’t think Krucci was crazy about going to Dallas. Advertisement and Nico Harrison have been getting close for a long time. I think it was like their long-term radar anyway,” Lowe said on his podcast.
Lowe worked on the Davis trade because he could be unhappy with the Los Angeles Lakers as part of reporting the reasons behind LeBron James.
Assuming what Lowe reported is true, that means Davis has a solid relationship with Harrison despite being blind to his move to Mavericks.
Does that raise the issue of Unibrow’s next issue? Well, first of all, he needs to be healthy. Davis appears to be taking care of him already.
Next, he needs to step up as a leader. After all, in the absence of Kyrie Irving, Davis has the opportunity to coach Cooper Flag, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.
Ultimately, Davis’s goal is to lead Mavs to the NBA championship earlier than they’re late, and therefore remind fans of how well he’s suited.
