Anthony Edwards thanked his Minnesota Timberwolves teammates after dropping another great performance that led the team to a victory against the Philadelphia 76ers.
The guard himself dropped 37 points and posted some great shots on the clutch, leading the T-Wolf to victory.
Rudy Gobert dropped 23 points and grabbed the 19 board in a victory over the Philadelphia 76ers, shooting 10-11 from the field.
This is his seventh consecutive game, double double, and what makes it special is also great in the offensive ending of T-Wolves during his recent glow.
Rudy Goat also stepped up to block three shots in the game against the exhausted 76ers side, when the team stole the ball defensively twice and blocked the ball three times.
Gobert was out for almost a month due to injuries, but the Minnesota Timberwolves stepped up and took a hot streak to get the season off the ground.
However, he has been special to them since his return, averaging over 19 points in his final six games, earning 17 rebounds, shooting at 72% off the field.
Speaking about Gobert, Anthony Edwards said:
“As Finch said in his mind, he won’t lose to us to a bad team. This isn’t a bad team, but they’re hurting, but in Ru’s mind he won’t lose these games to us.
“Nothing impressed me. He looks like Rudy Goatbert. I’m glad to see that. That’s what he’s doing. That’s what he paid for.
The Timberwolves’ revival began before Goatt returned from his injury.
But they now look like last year’s team. They were one of the best defensives in the league and played with a lot of physicality.
Gobert is rebounding at the elite level, but Edwards is also improving his game as the playoffs approach.
The center also contributes to the offensive, and players like Naz Reid are still in the T-wolves with a stellar big man combination.
In his recent run, Goat said: “I’m trying to win a championship so I keep getting better, keeping myself leveling on both ends of the floor, setting the tone for my team and doing it by being good at what I am good at.
“So rebounding on both ends takes our team to another level, and that’s what I can do.”
