Chelsea reportedly asked for the second time about the potential relocation of Manchester City’s young, versatile midfield talent, Nico O’Reilly.
According to Simon Phillips, Bruce is a huge 20-year-old fan and the club’s chief was impressed with his potential in so many different positions.
O’Reilly is primarily an offensive midfielder, but he plays not only in left back but also in a more defensive midfield role, before his career.
Chelsea have recently made many deals for players with ties to Man City, but it appears they can do so again as they continue to pursue O’Reilly.
Phillips reported that Chelsea first asked about O’Reilly in January and did it again.
Nico O’Reilly joins an old Chelsea teammate?
O’Reilly can do well to leave City if they want more playing time, and Chelsea shows their commitment to signing and developing the top young players.
Cole Palmer has become a Chelsea star and is sure he made the right choice when he left Manchester for West London.
Other players like Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens and Romeo Lavia also appeared in city books early in his career, so O’Reilly might be a good fit to look at these players and follow in his footsteps.
Chelsea will also sell players.
Chelsea will need to shift some players this summer to get more signatures after the calls of Jamie Gittens, Joa Pedro and Liam Dellup.
Evening Standard even reports that it can sell as many as 10 players, including celebrities such as Christopher Nekunk, Joan Felix and Keenanduesbury Hall.
It’s worth changing Deadwood if CFCs can help support top young talent like O’Reilly to fill in several different positions in their team.
