A year after his recent podium at WorldSBK, Garrett Gellov returns to Aragon in 2025, hoping to repeat the feat.
Gellov was in the top five in all three races he rode a Bonobo BMW at Aragon last year.
Gellov, who moved to Kawasaki in the winter, has not won the podium all season, making him the top six for just one time (Donington Race 2).
However, his results generally improved before summer vacation, continuing five top-10 finishes in a row after sitting in Sunday’s race at Balaton with a back injury from a lap one crash on Saturday.
With the revival of World Superbike after a break at Magny Cours, Gerloff joined Andrea Locatelli in the back row in all three races after crashing on the Super Pole. Locatelli finished fifth in race 1 and managed to enter the top 10 in race 2 in ninth place, but Gerloff went into the top 10 on Saturday before 14-11 in two races on Sunday.
A return to Motorland will likely come at a good time for Gerlov, who will likely need to rediscover the form he had before the Hungarian round.
“I really like Motorland Aragon and got two fifth and third place finishes last season,” Garrett Gerloff said before the Aragon round. “It’s a great weekend I want to repeat again this year.
“We completed some very productive tests about a month ago and we try to use all of that effort to get good race results.
“I’m optimistic and I’m very determined to achieve the kind of results my team and I deserve.”
