This is the live blog of Emperor Ahman vs Benson Henderson grappling the Nogi Superfight on Friday at the absolute championship of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu event in Moscow.
The Emperor will compete in his third grappling match in 2025. The UFC’s top lightweight competitor was to compete with Islamic Makhachev in the championship main event at UFC 311 in January, but was forced to withdraw from the contest due to a back injury. He was busy with grappling victories over Bellator veterans Patricky Pitbull and McCaschalip Zainukov.
Former UFC lightweight champion Henderson has not competed in the MMA since he announced his retirement in 2023. As they continue to fight under the rules of boxing, karate and initiative, “Bend” has not stopped them from being busy with combat sports.
Tsarukyan and Henderson compete based on ACBJJ rules. This means that you can tackle a seven-minute round with the winner, the judge has decided.

Henderson and Zarkian both ring. There was a lot of energy from the crowd, and many of them must have been here for hours waiting for this main event.

The emperor moves forward immediately. After a small battle, the emperor turns to his neck and he tries a dozen attempts. Henderson is always difficult to submit, drooping there as the emperor releases and pushes him down. Henderson welcomes the Emperor to the guards.
There is another dozen attempts that are very active from the top. He tries to tie one of Henderson’s feet, but Bend then gets out of it. Henderson goes to Rubberguard as it appears that the Emperor is still heavy. The Emperor of Side Control and he is looking for Kimura.
The Emperor’s control scores him points and he is 1-0 on the card.
Henderson is not in immediate danger now, but he has not been able to improve his position as the emperor works from side control. Tisarkian is about to attack by passing through his neck, but Henderson is making shrimp to avoid submission.
Back to Emperor, this could be a problem for Henderson. Hook is almost charming for the emperor as Henderson fights his hands.
Tisarkian squeezed. Henderson is shoving his chin tightly, so the choke isn’t there, but he’s not having a good time. The emperor loses his position, but he is still aggressively attacking. Return to side control of UFC lightweight competitors.
Henderson has his feet in good position to stop the Tissarkians from passing. There are attempts to another rubber guard on the bend. The Emperor has been completely controlled so far.
The emperor targets his head again, then goes to Darse, then Anaconda. Defensive Henderson. He reaches for his legs, but the emperor spins those hips and gives Henderson nothing.
Henderson goes back to his feet! He went to the ankle pick and apparently had a nasty collision, perhaps a finger to Henderson’s eyes. Actions resume after a brief pause.
The emperor packs a takedown with ease and wrestles Henderson on his back again. Triangle attempt on the arm from the emperor when he jumped on. Henderson appears to be calm, but he is in a good position. …Since he’s asleep, please calm down! Henderson is out!
