Arsenal reportedly made an informal inquiry to Aston Villa’s versatile midfielder Morgan Rogers.
According to Givemesport, these early checks suggest that Rodgers is firmly present on Arsenal’s radar, as he evaluates potential additions to the midfield ranks during attack.
Rogers emerged as one of England’s most versatile young talents, showing off his quality and not only creates goals, but also scoring while playing for Unai Emery’s Aston Villa side.
He scored 14 goals and provided 11 assists last season in all competitions last season.

That form is unaware of the Emirates, where Mikel Arteta is said to be a passionate admirer of Rogers’ versatility and creativity.
Arsenal’s recruitment team sees the 22-year-old as an addition that could fit seamlessly into Arteta’s fluid offensive system.
No formal bids have been filed, but it is understood that Arsenal is seriously considering the moves of its versatile attackers. However, Aston Villa’s attitude is clear, with only substantial offers coming to the negotiation table.
Villa set a high rating for Rogers
The Midlands Club is determined to protect Rogers and see him as an important part of his future under Emery.
With players being tied to long-term contracts until 2030, Villa holds a strong position and does not immediately put pressure on sales.
A report from TeamTalk claims Villa is set to demand a whopping £80 million from British talent, and says Arsenal’s Premier League rival Chelsea also shows interest in signing players.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola praises Rogers, calling him an “exceptional player” and shows regret over how the club allowed players as talented as Rogers left.
The gunner is also interested in the movements of Real Madrid star Rodrigo.
