The windows may not be officially open yet, but the stupid season is full of realism and the Arsenal look is set to be busy.

Today, Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi is a medical care that is officially apart from joining Gunners, and it feels like it’s not the last international one from La Liga.

For example, for over a year, Mikel Arteta’s side has been heavily linked to Nico Williams of Athletic Bilbao, and then, last month or so, a link to Rodrigo of Real Madrid has appeared everywhere.

And now, one more exciting attacker, the one who has been compared to both the aforementioned winger, is being promoted for a move to the Emirates this summer.

Before you reach the player in question, it’s worth examining some of the other broad talents that have linked Arsenal in recent weeks and months, like Antoine Semeño and Rafael Leo.

The former could be achieved for a fee of around £70 million, which is a lot of money, but he is a star demonstrated in the Premier League, which accumulated an impressive tally of 20 goals involvement in Bournemouth 42 games this year.

Meanwhile, Leao could cost £145 million thanks to the release clause on the current contract, but he has also enjoyed a great individual campaign this season, scoring 12 goals and providing 13 assists in 50 games for AC Milan.

However, both players would be an exciting addition to the team, but another name took part in the contest: Takefusa Kubo.

A recent report in a Spanish newspaper reveals that, as broadcast by sports witnesses, Arsenal is now interested in signing the real Sociedad’s star.

In fact, the report claims that the Gunners and Premier League rivals are already in contact with Japan’s international. He has release clauses worth between 60 million and £50 million on his current contract.

Arsenal could be a complicated and expensive transfer to tolerate it, especially as Kubo compared to both Williams and Rodrigo, but Arsenal should endure it.

How Kubo compares to Williams & Rodrigo

Before getting into some of the other reasons Arsenal considers signing Kubo this summer, it’s worth examining these comparisons between Williams and Rodrigo.

Well, in this example, it all comes from FBREF, comparing players in similar positions in the LA La Liga, creating a list of the 10 players that are most comparable to each.

In this example, we concluded that the Spaniard is the sixth-like offensive midfielder or winger, similar to the Japanese star this season, while the Brazilian comes in the eighth.

In addition to the expected non-penalty goals, we can better understand how this conclusion was reached by examining the underlying metrics in which all trios per 90 are closely ranked, including assists, expected assists, clearance, progressive carry, and goals per shot.

In addition to his similarities with the two sensational wingers and his tally of seven goals and four assists this season, another debate about why analyst Ben Matinson should sign a dubbed “dangerous” international is the numbers that underlie his individuals.

For example, FBREF will put him in the top 4% of attacking midfielders and wingers, and will block goal-making actions from take-ons and passes, crossing the top five leagues of Europe.

Ultimately, he may not be at the top of many forwarding wish lists, but Kubo will be an exceptional addition to Arsenal’s right-sided attacking option and anyone who could get even better as the team continues to advance.
