The dream of many Arsenal fans this summer is to see Alexander Isaac arrive in a big money deal, but the fact in question is that he feels rather uncontrollable.
The reported asking price of £150 million has been slapped on his head, and despite the need for Mikel Arteta to bolster his attack, it is unlikely that Gunners will diverge that amount.
It probably explains why they are currently working on a deal to sign Viktor Gyoker. Recent reports suggest that they are in discussion and that an agreement may be approaching.
But if that move doesn’t come true, we can turn our attention to Benjamin Sesco and one other alternative.
Arsenal can sign a £59 million Cesco upgrade
Last summer, it appeared Arsenal would sign Slovenian centre forward Sesco.
The striker had a release clause in RB Leipzig and despite interest from the people of North London, he signed a new contract in Germany and decided to stay for another year.
Well, a year later, Arsenal is still interested in being 21, and we’re noting that athletics’ David Ornstein did a lot of work earlier this week to sign players.
Players still have release clauses with certain conditions. This means you can see Arsenal salary in the £67 million region.
Transfer focus
Mega Money deals, controversial moves, famous flops. This is the home of transfer news and opinions across Football FanCust.
If they are looking for a cheaper alternative, they don’t need to look any further than the Serho Guilassi of Borussia Dortmund.
English elite clubs are given the opportunity to sign strikers this summer, as players have a £509 million release clause, according to German publication Bild.
These clubs are Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Barcelona.
That’s a strange situation, but due to the nature of the release clause, if any of the above aspects submits a bid of £509 million, Dortmund has no choice but to accept it.
How does Guirassy compare to Sesko?
Sesko, dubbed “The New Haaland” by Talent Scout Jacek Kulig, is clearly one of the most promising and exciting young strikers in the game.
In the Bundesliga, he scored 13 goals in 33 matches and registered eight more goals in other tournaments. Given his age, that’s a solid tally, but Arsenal wants to win now. So, signing Guirassy at a low price might be the answer.
After all, when it comes to finding the net, he is certainly more prolific. Appropriately described as a “goal monster” by journalist Michael Adjei. He also played for Germany’s top flights, earning 21 in 30 league outings this season.
At all competitions, the 29-year-old found the net on 34 occasions with 45 equipment. He was a national threat, but he won an astonishing number in the Champions League.
Guirassy scored a hat-trick in the quarter-finals against Barcelona. He is a man of great opportunity and is in his prime so he is ready to help Arsenal now. Unlike Sesco, he is not a project striker.
So where else will he defeat the Slovenians? I calculated the numbers.

When analyzing a particular metric, it’s not surprising to see Guirassy being more dangerous in front of the target, given that Guirassy takes more shots. He is also involved in build up plays, registering key passes every 90 minutes.
Sesko is certainly more progressive and faster out of the two. Certainly, judging by the number of take-ons he achieves, what is important to the way Arteta uses at his heart is that Guirassy wins the Leipzig sense he has acquired in the air duel.
There are two different profiles here, but at the end of the day, the goal wins your soccer game.
The Dortmund star may be 29, but he is in his prime, he is in his life form, at £59 million, you won’t find many better options.
