Arsenal, which completed the signing of Martin Zubimendi over the weekend, is approaching securing the next additional deal. Mikel Arteta hopes that at least two attacker players will be added to his team during the summer transfer period, and the first of them could arrive.
Last week, Arsenal established Noni Maduce as a major winger target. An opening offer is expected as personal terms were agreed to with the Chelsea man over the weekend.
And on Tuesday, it just arrived.
Chelsea receives Noni Madueke’s offer from Arsenal
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal praised Maduke’s first offer. This is worth it in a £50 million region. Their hope is that the deal for England International, which has 11 goals and four assists in 46 appearances over the 2024-25 season, can be agreed after Chelsea gets involved next week at the 2025 Club World Cup.
Chelsea is unlikely to accept it
Arsenal is confident they can make a deal, but it is not expected that Chelsea will accept the offer. The proposal from Arsenal is £50 million and includes add-ons, but Club World Cup finalists are looking for a package that exceeds this.
Specifically, Chelsea is seeking a fixed fee of £50 million, and I believe it is entitled given that Newcastle is doing this for Anthony Elanga, who is set to join Nottingham Forest’s Carabao Cup winner.
The good news for Arsenal is that their opening isn’t too far from Chelsea’s rating. So it appears that trading will take place in the coming weeks. And once, sports director Andrea Berta will be able to focus completely on completing the signature of Sports CP Viktor Gyoker.
