Although the Premier League season has been quite Peter out for Arsenal and Mikel Arteta, the future for the football club remains bright, still very rising.
Of course they will be disappointed by how they lagged behind Liverpool in the title race, but last week’s astonishing 3-0 victory over Real Madrid sent the continent the message that they are a powerful and great team, even when the gunners aren’t fully powered.
Last week, Declan Rice’s free-kick hero assured Arteta’s men this week heading to the Bernabeu for the pole position to seal off the semi-final spot.
But they managed to do so without Kai Havertz and Gabriel, but the results have become even more incredible.
The result is that Emirates is one of the greatest ever, and new sports director Andrea Berta certainly needs to build it over the summer. It may have been just a message that his various forwarding targets needed.
Arsenal’s summer transfer plan
Berta’s biggest priority this summer is to strengthen the forward line.
Alexander Isaac is a dream win, but reportedly valued at around £150 million, but it is fairly impossible to complete it.
Transfer focus
Mega Money deals, controversial moves, famous flops. This is the home of transfer news and opinions across Football FanCust.
As a result, Sporting’s Viktor Gyoker could be the player to turn to by athletic David Ornstein, who reported he was a major target a few weeks ago.
But they may also bolster in the middle by offering Ornstein the latest to pursue Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi over the weekend.
Speaking about the athletic podcast, he admitted that he “hopefully” Arsenal will sign the Spanish midfielder in the summer and did a lot of work on the possibility of transfers.
A move could be taken in the £51 million region, the release clause for Zubimendi’s contract at LA Real.
How Zubimendi fits into Arsenal’s midfield
At the end of the season, Thomas Parte and Gorguinho’s contract expire, resulting in an expiration of his desire to sign Arsenal’s new midfielder.
Jorginho – a small side now – it’s not a big miss on the field, but it’s safe to say that the gunner might miss a little more part.
He has proven his worth, especially in recent weeks, providing an outstanding performance against Real Madrid last Tuesday, scoring against Brentford on Saturday evening.
During the thrilling victory on Carlo Ancelotti’s side, no midfielder completed his pass at a more successful rating than Partey’s 93.8%. Additionally, only William Saliba on both sides completed more carry.

That being said, in Zubimendi, they will not sign a Partey alternative. He is ranked only for progressive carry as he has made it to the top 57% of the European Big Five League midfielders.
Instead, they replace the role of Gorginho as temposetter and theatre conductor. Zubimendi ranks in the top 16% for touches and offensive 3 tackles in defensive penalty areas, among the highest 7% in Europe, indicating that he likes to run short towards defense, but he likes to push up high.
As a result, this transfer means that Rice’s days as out-and-out-holding outside the midfield player are numbered. It may have looked like a bad thing at the start of the season, but the idea of placing Zubimendi along with the club’s record signature is a salivating thing.
Certainly, Rice did a lot of his best work in the 8th place role this season, moving forward even further, and influencing the game in the final third.
His offensive traits have always been improved, and this has been abundantly apparent over the last week. These two free kicks against Madrid were signs that his ball strikes would be effectively used in more advanced roles, but the way he advanced for his part’s goal against Brentford summed up why Arteta wanted to move him further.
Rice quickly broke off the bee horn, begging one man, surged to the opposite half like a racehorse, darting devastatingly towards the goal, playing the ball at precisely the right time.
That type of line-destructive carry is rarely seen when he plays in the retention role, but Zubimendi’s arrival will give Rice the license he really needs to establish himself as one of the most elite midfielders in the game.
