Arsenal is keen to sign Dean Huyssen from Bournemouth at the end of the season and will face competition between Liverpool and Chelsea.
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Arsenal remains eager to sign the 20-year-old defender, and they are pushing to close the deal. They can use more quality and depth in defensive units, and the younger defenders prove to be a robust long-term acquisition.
Romano said on YouTube: “Arsenal is pushing too, so don’t forget about Arsenal. Arsenal is there too. Mikel Arteta is hoping to add another top defender to the package.
He has proven himself an elite talent in the Premier League and is undoubtedly enough to play for the largest club in the country. Huijsen is labelled “exceptional” this season.
Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool need Dean Huyssen
Arsenal is fighting for the league title and the Champions League. They become an attractive destination for most players, and young defenders can be attracted to the idea of joining them.
Arsenal has been doing well in recent years to care for talented young players and has also been able to play an important role in the development of the Spanish defender.
Liverpool, on the other hand, can also use defensive depth. The 20-year-old could be the ideal long-term alternative to club captain Virgil Vandik. In the short term, he could be an alternative to Joe Gomez, who is suffering from injuries issues. Gomez is linked to travelling away from Liverpool as the game is lacking for a lifetime.
As far as Chelsea is concerned, they look defensively vulnerable and in the summer they will have to replace players like Axel Disassi and Benoit Badiaseal. Disasi is currently on loan and he could be sold forever. Badiashile is also linked to the exit.
